[NEWS] Gender Equity Units Hosts Gender Data Analysis Workshop in Nairobi, Kenya

With attendees and facilitators from six countries and three continents, the Gender Equity Unit held our first Data for Health international workshop in September 2024 to equip participants with the tools and methodologies needed to analyze gender-specific data effectively.

Hosted by the Government of Kenya’s National Council for Population Development, the workshop trained 36 attendees from five countries—India, Kenya, Liberia, South Africa, and Viet Nam—to contribute to the development of comprehensive national and regional reports on gender disparities in health.

With international facilitators from the Gender Equity Unit, Vital Strategies, CDC Foundation, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, the three-day Gender Data Analysis Workshop also deepened participants’ understanding and application of gender-sensitive statistical methods.
