Lidiya Teklemariam is a global health lawyer working as the Program Manager for the Data for Health Initiative at the Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI). Lidiya supports CRVS legal review and budget advocacy projects and serves as GHAI’s Equity Focal Point within the broader D4H Initiative. Before joining GHAI, Lidiya worked for a health law firm in Ethiopia focusing on research and consultancy around a wide range of domestic public health issues, including the legal capacity for emergency preparedness and response. Lidiya was a Fellow at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law where she contributed to the Institute’s scholarship, capacity-building, and programmatic works. Her career at the intersection of health and law started as a Medico-Legal Expert at the Ethiopian Food and Drug Administration. Lidiya holds an LL.M degree in Global Health Law from Georgetown University and an LL.B degree from Hawassa University, Ethiopia. Lidiya loves music, books, and documentaries.
