What does this mean?

Being Gender Unequal means that your data is likely perpetuating inequity by reinforcing unbalanced norms, roles and relations between men, women and people who are non-binary. At this stage, without forethinking about gender integration, your data privileges men over women and people who are non-binary, whether intentional or not. Health outcomes are better for men than for women and non-binary people because in most cultures, men enjoy more rights and opportunities to access quality healthcare than do other genders.

What are the next steps?

In order to move forward in your gender transformation journey from Gender Unequal to Gender Neutral and Gender Sensitive, you will need to know about the bigger picture – the whats and whys of gender equity and how it can affect health outcomes for all.
